32. Elijah MCANALLY Jr. was born about 1804 in Tennessee.⁽³²⁰⁾ He appeared on the census in 1830 in Blount County, Alabama. ⁽³²¹⁾ On this census, there are three males, age 20-30, 5-10, and under 5 , and two females, age 20-30 and under 5. I believe two of the children are Benjamin Franklin McAnally and Nancy Ann McAnally. I'm not sure who the boy 5-10 is. He owned 40.04 acres of land on 1 Sep 1849 in Blount County, Alabama. ⁽³²²⁾ He owned 119.77 acres of land on 2 Apr 1857 in Blount County, Alabama.⁽³²³⁾ He appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. Elijah McAnally, Jr., was born 1804 in Tennessee, the son of Elijah, Sr. & Catherine Skelton McAnally. On February 13, 1825 in Blount County, Alabama he married Eliza Hogeland, daughter of Abraham and Catherine Powell Hogeland. Elijah and Eliza had ten known children. Eliza died in 1852 and on August 27, 1853 in Jefferson County, Alabama, he married (2) Alcy M. Partin, daughter of Ashford and Sarah Partin. Elijah and Alcy had six known children.

The Blount County, AL census for 1830 list Elijah McAnally Jr. age 20 < 30 as head of household. Other's listed in the home are : 1 male < 5, 1 male of 5 < 10, 1 female < 5, and 1 female 20 < 30.

Between 1835 - 1840 Elijah Jr. moved his family from th McAnally home place area of Guinn's Cove in Blount County, Alabama to the area of Hogeland Creek the home place of his father-in-law Abraham Hogeland in Jefferson County, Alabama.

The 1840 Jefferson County, Alabama census lists Elijah McAnally household as: 1 male < 5, 2 males of 5 < 10, 1 male of 10 < 15, 1 male of 30 < 40, 1 female < 5, 1 female of 5 < 10, and 1 female of 30 < 40.

On September 1, 1849, Elijah McAnally, Jr., bought the NE¼ of the NE¼ of Section 27 in Township 12 Range 2 West containing 40.04 acres in Blount County, Alabama.

The 1850 census lists Elijah McAnally age 46, born in Tennessee, and head of household with his wife Eliza, age 44 and born in Kentucky. Other's listed for this home are: Benjamin age 24, Nancy A. age 20, John age 18, Abram age 15, William age 13, Jane age 13, Martha age 9, Mary age 7, Eliza age 2, Minerva McAnally (wife of Benjamin) age 22, and Elizabeth McAnally age 90 and born in Virginia.

On April 2, 1857, Elijah McAnally, bought the SE¼ of the NE¼ & the NE¼ of the SE¼ of Section 6 & the SW¼ of the NW¼ of Section 5 in Township 14 Range 2 West containing 119.77 acres in Jefferson County, Alabama.

The 1860 census lists Elijah McAnally age 50 as head of household with his wife Alcey age 50. Other's listed in the home are: Jane age 30, Mary age 16, Eliza age 11, P. age 6, M. age 5, Sarah E. age 2, Mila age 1, and Elizabeth P. age 19.

September 15, 1865, Eijah McAnally of Jefferson County, Alabama sold/leased to WPA Jones, E. A. Mahaffey of Memphis, Tn. and W. R. Hickman of Jefferson County - all mining and mineral interest (stone, coal, iron ore, or copper, or alum, or petroleum) on his land in Jefferson County consisting of 120 acres for the term of 20 years. This gave the right to erect buildings necessary for carrying on the business of mining. In consideration, Elijah would be paid one tenth of the net proceeds from the mining.

Elijah McAnally, Jr. died in 1869. He is buried in Sibleyville, Jefferson County, Alabama

On April 12, 1869, Abram McAnally was appointed administrator of Elijah Jr.'s estate & he is appointed guardian of the minor heirs: Peter, Amanda, Sarah, Milly, Thomas & James McAnally.

On December 4, 1874, William J. McAnally, Alexander Goodwin and his wife, Eliza Goodwin, Nancy A. Calvert, & Jane McAnally of Blount County: " have received of Abraham McAnally full compensation and satisfaction for and each of our certain interest as heirs and relics of the said Elijah McAnally, deceased. He was married to Alcy M PARTIN on 27 Aug 1853 in Jefferson County, Alabama. ^{(326)(327) (328)}

33. Alcy M PARTIN was born about 1827 in Jefferson County, Alabama.⁽³²⁹⁾ She appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. Spelling is Partain according to 1860 census.

1860 - Elizabeth Partain, age 19, living with McAnally family. James Partain living next door. Children were:

i. Peter MCANALLY was born in Nov 1855 in Jefferson County, Alabama. ^{(330)(331) (332)(333) (334)} He appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. He appeared on the census on 23 Jun 1880 in Limestone County, Alabama.⁽³³⁵⁾ He appeared on the census on 4 Jun 1900 in Caddo Township, Clark, Arkansas. ⁽³³⁶⁾ He appeared on the census in 1910 in Clark County, Arkansas. ⁽³³⁷⁾ He died on 24 Dec 1916. ⁽³³⁸⁾ He was a farmer.⁽³³⁹⁾ On April 12, 1869, Abram McAnally was appointed administrator of Elijah Jr.'s estate & he is appointed guardian of the minor heirs: Peter, Amanda, Sarah, Milly, Thomas & James McAnally.

Gravestone has him as T.A. McAnally with a birthdate of 4 Aug 1852. Death date is correct. Spouse is a match with correct birth/death dates.
ii. Miranda (or Amanda) MCANALLY was born in 1856 in Jefferson County, Alabama. ⁽³⁴⁰⁾ She appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. On April 12, 1869, Abram McAnally was appointed administrator of Elijah Jr.'s estate & he is appointed guardian of the minor heirs: Peter, Amanda, Sarah, Milly, Thomas & James McAnally.
iii. Sarah E. MCANALLY was born in 1858 in Jefferson County, Alabama. ⁽³⁴¹⁾ She appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. On April 12, 1869, Abram McAnally was appointed administrator of Elijah Jr.'s estate & he is appointed guardian of the minor heirs: Peter, Amanda, Sarah, Milly, Thomas & James McAnally.
iv. Milly MCANALLY was born in 1859 in Jefferson County, Alabama. ⁽³⁴²⁾ She appeared on the census on 25 Jun 1860 in Blackburns Precinct, Jefferson, Alabama. She never married. Milly "Mila" McAnally, was born in 1859, in Jefferson County, Alabama. She never married.
